Richard Duane Williams

Richard "Rick" Williams, 59, was born on August 2, 1962 to Sandra and Charles Williams in Akron, Ohio. He passed away on August 7, 2021. He was a loving father, brother, son, uncle, and future grandfather.

He successfully ran AAA Rick's Rooter and Plumbing for 30 years, and later worked with the family business founded by his dad, Charlie. Not only was he a hard worker, but he was a best friend, someone that you could talk to about anything as he would give the best advice. He had a contagious laugh with the smile of a thousand words. He always put others before himself, going so far as to give the last dollar out of his pocket even if it meant he had nothing left. He truly had a heart of gold - was kind, wise, and patient. He was so proud of his children and was very excited to become a grandfather. His sons will forever cherish the memories they made, and will continue to make him proud.

He was preceded in death by father, Charles Williams; grandparents, Victor and Loretta Fusco and Raymond and Mirtie Williams. He is survived by mother, Sandra (Fusco) Williams; sons, Dustin (Melissa Christman and Soon to Be Baby Williams), Ian Williams (Audrie Gainey) and Ryan Luette; brothers, Charles, Jr. (Patsy), Kevin (Theresa) and Robert (Rebecca) Williams; aunt, Freda Cingle; and nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Bryan, Brittany, Logan, Ashley and Caylee Williams.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd. Akron (Coventry Township), Ohio 44319 on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the VFW Post 690 on W. Waterloo Road Akron, Ohio 44314.
