Raymond Sondereker

Raymond P. Sondereker, 85, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018.
Born in Stow on February 27, 1933 to the late Carl & Loretta Sondereker, Ray was a lifelong area resident. He served in the Marine Corp as an official photographer during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Italian American Society in Ravenna and was active in Silver Sneakers at Kent State. He liked penny slots, but enjoyed the buffets more. Ray looked forward to having breakfast every Sunday with his nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years, Gloria. He is survived by his children Denise Sondereker; Carl (Carrie) Sondereker and their children Katelyn, Kyle, Kierra, and Keadron; Julie (Ron) Fisher and their children Riley and Mikalina.
The family will receive friends Monday, March 19 from 5-7PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, McGowan-Reid & Santos Chapel, 247 Stow Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 11AM at the Edinburg Cemetery, 4370 St. Rt. 14 in Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142
