Ralph Franklin Norwood

Ralph F. Norwood, 79 passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2007 in Salinas, California.
Ralph was born January 25, 1938 to Ernest and Dora (Barton) Norwood in Cramerton, NC and was an Akron resident until moving to Salinas in 1985. He was employed by Monterey Peninsula College for 20 years and was previously employed by Firestone Tire and Rubber. He was a veteran of the Army during the Korean War. He was passionate about playing golf.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Nancy (Ellan); children Vikki (Larry) Harmon and Ralph Norwood Jr.; grandchildren Brittany and Matthew Harmon; great grandchildren Gavin and Ella Backer; and sister-in-law Theresa Sublett.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 24 from 2 to 4 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 4:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
