Rada Marinkovic, 56, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 3, after an extended illness.
Born in Knin, Yugoslavia on February 17, 1957, Rada had been a Barberton resident since moving to the U.S. in 1998. She was a member of St. Demetrius Serbian Orthodox Church.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Rajko; sons, Slobodan (Sladjana), Stojan (Milanka); and nephew, Neven (Nina); grandchildren, Stefan, Anastasia, Angelina, Simona, Aleksandar, and Teodor; brother, Slobodan Bojanic; and sisters, Mara (Drago) Srdic and Mira (Krstan) Cucuz; nephews, Aleksander, Dmitar, Vladimir, and Jelena; as well as many other family members, both here and abroad.
Visitation
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Parastas will take place at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 12 p.m. at St. Mark Serbian Orthodox Church, 1434 Lake Breeze Rd., Sheffield Village, Ohio, where Rada will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Mark Cemetery.
