Phyllis Carol (Wilhelm) Birklund

Phyllis C. Birklund (Wilhelm), 91, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Phyllis was born on August 6, 1930, to the late Paul and Gladys Wilhelm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frank, her brother Robert Wilhelm, and daughter-in-law, Renee Birklund.

Phyllis is survived by her children Gail Pedersen, Beth Eisele (Bill), Thomas Birklund (Michele), and Linda Junk (Jim), grandchildren Kevin Pedersen, Kara Zinser (Dan), Jennifer Jackson, David Eisele, Dana Brandenburg (Russ), Reed Birklund (Kelly), Katie Stroney (Paul), Andrew Motz (Allison), Dan Junk (Christina), Nick Junk (Emily) and 13 great grandchildren.

Phyllis was a homemaker, loved to travel with her family and friends and was always up for a road trip. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 11, 2021, at 9:30am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 750 S Main St, Akron, OH 44311. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
