Phil was dedicated to Scouting and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America for more than 60 years. He served as head camp ranger for nearly 20 years for Buckeye Boy Scout Council, serving in this role at Camp McKinley in Lisbon, OH, and Seven Ranges Scout Reservation in Kensington, OH.
Prior to becoming a camp ranger, he worked as a senior construction manager for Ohio Edison and Penn Power for more than 20 years.
