Philip Terry O'Connor

Philip Terry O'Connor, 75, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on February 26, 2025.
Terry was born on September 29, 1949 in Clarksburg, WV to the late Philip H. & Elizabeth P. O'Connor and was a 1967 graduate of Central High School, where he was an all-city basketball player and a state runner-up in Tennis. Terry retired from the IT Department at the City of Akron in 2010, after over 25 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where he served as a CYO Basketball coach. Terry was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing the guitar.
Terry is survived by his be loved wife of 52 years, Karen; sister Debbie O'Connor
and brother Keith (Ellen) O'Connor, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 2, from 1-3 pm, followed immediately by a memorial service at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron.
