Pearl Marie "Marty" Kane, 84, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2022.
Pearl was born in Akron on April 15, 1938, to the late Harland & Irma Martin. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School. She had worked at Dixie Ohio Express, Justice Jewelers, North American Van Lines and Glen Fisher Jewelry. She was active in her family life and enjoyed volunteering for the PTA and in the classrooms at her children's schools, singing in the choir and serving on numerous committees at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a lifetime member and spending time with friends at the Firestone Park Prime Timers. Along with her husband John, she volunteered at the Akron Civic Theater for 10 years. Pearl and John enjoyed the Summit MetroParks Fall Hiking Spree and filled their hiking staffs with shields over the years.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John. She is survived by her children Debbie Brent, John Jr. (Lynn), David, Michael (Lisa) Kane; grandchildren Carl Ross (Kimberly) Brent, Joshua (Heather), Taylor (Randi), Jake (Rachel), Brennan (Sarah), Megan (Jon), and Jillian Kane; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Kenneth (Mary) Martin; sisters-in-law Carol (Larry) Clements, Sue Heltsley, Judi Kane, and Kathy Kane; and brother-in-law Tim (Kathy) Kane.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 7 at 6PM at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron where the family will receive friends beginning at 4PM until the time of service.
