Pauline (Vasiliou) Proctor

Pauline Proctor, 94, passed away Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Pebble Creek Convalescent Center.
Pauline was born September 28, 1930 to Steve and Margaret (Kollaras) Vasiliou in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life. She was employed by General Tire as an office manager for over 32 years, retiring in 1988. She was a faithful and active member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Good Samaritan Hunger Center, Philiptochos Society, Orthodox Christian Women and Sigma Delta Iota. She volunteered for the weekly Gyro Luncheon, the Annual Greek Festival and Greek Sunday School.
Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1990; siblings Katherine (Gus) Spanos and James Vasiliou. She is survived and will be missed by her sister-in-law Pat Vasiliou; nieces and nephews Jim (Valerie) Spanos, Christina (Kevin) Warner, Lisa (Jeff) Dannemiller and Steven (Andrea) Vasilou; several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-children Matt (Glenda) Proctor, Donna, Kathy and Lisa.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 4 to 6 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home, 1990 S. Main St. Akron where a Trisagion will be held at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 11:00 am at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union St., Akron OH 44304 where friends will also be received prior to services. Donations may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
