Pauline Koval, 93, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013.
She was born in Pleasant City, Ohio and came to Akron in 1927. She was a Dental Assistant and Dental Lab Technician for Firestone Park Dental Lab with 40 years of service retiring in 1978. Pauline was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, St. Nicholas Church Choir and the United Societies of the U.S.A.
She was preceded in death by parents, Andrew and Mary (Surgent) Koval; and brothers and sister, John, Mike, Nick, Andy, George, Emil, Elick, Andy (infant) and Mary Koval. She is survived by sister, Helen Redovian; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in Barberton where Pauline will lie in state one hour prior to service. Fr. Miron Kerul-Kmec officiating. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday,February 5, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron where a Parastas service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 1051 Robinson Ave. Barberton, Ohio 44203.
