Obituary
Patrick Joseph Smith passed away unexpectedly on January 30.
Born March 11, 1953 to Patrick and Mary Smith.
Patrick grew up in the west side of Akron and attended St. Vincent Elementary School. He was a 1971 graduate of Arch-Bishop Hoban High School, and attended the University of Akron.
Patrick worked for Omnova Soulutions Inc. as a Laboratory Technician. He retired in 2015 after 33 years of service.
Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Karen, his son Brian and his friend Laura. He is survived by his son Michael and his brothers- Gary, David and Robert.
He was lovingly laid to rest through Dunn-Quigley and at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Because of Covid the Celebration of Patrick's life will take place at a later date.
Possibly at the New Era Restaurant, which was Patrick's favorite place to meet friends and eat. He always felt welcome there thanks to the owners Mary and Mitch.
