"With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Jean Oddo of Akron, OH. Patricia, born on August 20, 1954, departed from this world somewhat unexpectedly on November 17, 2024. She was a devoted mother, cherished mother-in-law, adored grandma, sister, aunt and cherished friend.

Patricia, the second youngest of 7 siblings and a lifelong Akron resident graduated with her GED from Barberton High School. Putting her caring nature to good use, she embarked on a 30-year career as a Programming Assistant at Rockynol Senior Living Facility. Patricia participated in many adventures alongside her son, such as riding bicycles from Akron to Cleveland and trekking through the woods to look for old bottles and bricks. She spent her retirement being a doting grandma taking her granddaughter Lilly to and from school. Lilly & Patricia enjoyed watching 8 Is Enough, and Rosanne, while doing so they often enjoyed dipping graham crackers with peanut butter in coffee. Patricia often turned a blind eye when her family brought yet another animal into their home.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, James and Edith Mehen. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Molly Usner; her beloved granddaughter, Lilly; her canine companion, Sasha; her sister, Rebecca Lecky; her ex-husband, David Oddo; and many others.

Funeral services and ceremonies to honor Patricia's life will be held at a later date, allowing friends and family to come together to celebrate her life, share memories, and find solace in each other's company during this difficult time.

Patricia's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
