Patricia "Tricia" M. Loney, lovingly known to all as Tricia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 19, 1964, in Akron, Ohio, and made her home in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, while also cherishing her time in the sun as a resident of Hillsboro Beach, Florida.

Tricia is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 38 years, Richard Loney; her beloved sons, Ryan Loney and his wife, Erica, and Kyle Loney and his life partner, Kelly D'Agostino; her treasured grandson, Miles Loney; her mother, Alice Luxeder-Robb and stepfather, Jim Robb; her sisters, Theresa Cicchinelli and Carolyn Bline and her husband, Rick; along with many extended family members and countless friends who became family through Tricia's remarkable gift of love. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Alexa M. Loney; her father, Anthony M. Luxeder; and her brother, Anthony M. Luxeder Jr.

A 1982 graduate of Stow High School, Tricia went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from the University of Akron. She was a faithful parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Cuyahoga Falls, where her faith helped sustain her throughout life's journey.

Above all else, Tricia's greatest joy was her family. She loved being a mother to Ryan and Kyle. One of the happiest moments of her life was holding her grandson, Miles, in her arms. She treasured her time reading a good book beside the pool at their condominium in Hillsboro Beach, Florida, where sunshine, laughter, and family created countless treasured memories.

To know Tricia was to love her. She lived every day as though each moment was a precious gift. Her radiant smile and infectious laughter could brighten any room, and she possessed the extraordinary ability to make everyone she met feel like family. Whether you were a lifelong friend, a neighbor, or a waitress at one of her favorite restaurants, Tricia welcomed you with genuine warmth, kindness, and unconditional love.

Trish and Rich's life together began on Sunday, January 22, 1983, at a Phi Kappa Psi fraternity party. The moment she saw Rich, she turned to a friend and said, "I'm going to marry that man." On August 19, 1988, she did exactly that. Together, always side by side, they built a beautiful life filled with enduring love, incredible adventures, lifelong friendships, and countless cherished memories.

Throughout her life, Tricia faced extraordinary health challenges with unwavering courage. Time and again, through determination, positive spirit, deep faith, along with the love of her husband and family, she overcame obstacles that amazed her physicians. She never allowed her circumstances to define her. Instead, she chose gratitude, hope, and joy, inspiring everyone who knew her.

The world has lost a beautiful and inspiring warrior. Those who loved Tricia can take comfort in knowing that Heaven has welcomed one of its most fun-loving, beautiful, and certainly most popular angels.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 4-7 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls.
