Patricia Ann Falconer

Patricia Ann Falconer (Heckendorn) of Silver Lake Village died on July 18, 2013.
She was born on July 14, 1930 in Ridgway, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Mary Heckendorn. Patricia graduated from high school in Conneaut, Ohio. She then went to college at Slippery Rock Teacher's College in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania to learn to be a physical education teacher. While at Slippery Rock she joined the gymnastic team which performed throughout Pennsylvania. She taught elementary physical education for 39 years, mostly in Cuyahoga Falls including Broad, Schnee and Preston Schools. Shortly after graduation from Slippery Rock she married Ralph Falconer. She and Ralph joined the First Congregational Church of Akron where she volunteered for many church activities. She also volunteered for Good Neighbors at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; her daughter, Dr. Mary Kay Falconer and grandson, Nathan Scott of Tallahassee, Florida; her granddaughter, Meaghan Scott of Boulder, Colorado; and her sister, Gloria Campbell and nephew, Kyle Campbell of Austin, Texas.
