Patricia Susan Byrne

Patricia Byrne, 70, passed away on February 9, at her home in Akron.
Born in Barnesboro, PA on November 26, 1942 to the late Andrew & Mary Motil, Pat had been an Akron area resident for over 50 years. She was a member of the former St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Pat loved traveling with her husband of 50 years, Jim, and her sister Barb. They always said that they never got lost, but only found interesting places. She was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and she loved playing euchre with her girlfriends, as well as slots & bingo.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother Andrew & her sister Betsy. She is survived by her loving husband Jim; her children Tim (Julie), Scott (Julie), Andrew, Randall (Kim), & Jamie Sue (Jack); grandchildren Josh, Jessica, Katlyn, Nathanael, Carter, Jack, & Jacob, as well as her brother George, Sister Barbara, and a multitude of wonderful nieces & nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Ralph Thomas on Saturday, February 16, at 10:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church on Brown St. in Akron. A private inurnment will take place at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
