Patricia Marlene (Cea) Bauer

Patricia Marlene Bauer, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2023, surrounded by her adoring family.

Patty was born in north Akron and attended North High School. She met and fell in love with her husband of 58 years, Tom Bauer, when she was sixteen years old. They married and together had 5 beautiful children, 13 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren whom they raised in Cuyahoga Falls.

Patty devoted her life to her family. Her capacity for love and positivity seemed endless and truly blessed all those who knew her. She was always there when you needed her and made everyone feel like they were her favorite.

Patty was an avid lover of sports and was a fabulous, dedicated, caring coach whose career lasted over 40 years and 4 different sports. She coached and was athletic director at St. Joseph School, Holy Family School, St. Patrick's, Cuyahoga Falls Park and Recreation and Archbishop Hoban High School where she was the assistant coach on the 1988 Girls State Championship team. She loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports and was always our biggest fan. She never missed a game.

Patty was a competitive golfer who played in leagues at Valley View Golf Course on Thursday morning with her ladies and Firestone Public on Saturdays with her couples. Patty enjoyed traveling and went on many memorable trips, but she loved her yearly family vacations to Florida. She was a gardener, home decorator and romance novel reader. She made our world beautiful.

Patty was preceded in death by parents Rod and Carlene Cea, parent in laws, Margaret and Jack Bauer, son, Timothy; daughter, Jennifer Biscan; sister, Linda Ziemba. brother in laws, Jim, Joe and Brian Bauer. She is survived by her husband, Tom; Children, Kim (Chris) Letson, Tom Jr (Stephanie). Paty (TJ) Pasadyn; and son-in-law, Mark Biscan; grandchildren Joe (Katie) Poth, Tim (Kenzie) Poth, Brianne (Logan) Keller, Jack (Victoria) Bauer, Nate Bauer, Luke Bauer, Tony Bauer and Vance Bauer, Carlee (Phil) Brett, Abby Biscan, Jacob Biscan, Drew Pasadyn and Ryan Pasadyn; greatgrandchildren Mille, Maggie, Skylar, Tatum and Penelope; brothers Jim (Mary) Cea, Rod (Zipporah) Cea; best friend, Judy (Larry) Walters; special cousin, Debi Batchik; and many nieces and nephews all of whom she loved and was deeply loved in return.

The family will receive friends from 3pm to 7pm on January 2nd at Anthony Funeral Home 1990 S. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44301. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1761 Second St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221 with Pastor, Father Jared Orndorf and co-celebrant, Father Paul Rosing.
