Olivera (Devus) Gutshall

Olivera Gutshall, 69, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on January 9, 2022.
Olivera was born in Bitola, Macedonia on June 4, 1952 to the late George and Nada Devus. She came to the United States in 1966 and eventually settled in Akron. Olivera was a 1970 graduate of Garfield High School and graduated from the St. Thomas School of Nursing in 1972. She worked at St. Thomas Hospital until 1995 and retired from nursing in the mid 2000s. She was a longtime member of St. Nikola Macedonian Orthodox Church. Olivera loved boating, gardening, cooking, and being with her children and grandchildren.
Olivera is survived by her husband of 48 years, Tom; her children Christopher (Nichole) Gutshall, Melisa (Robert) Murray, Gina (Branden) Vondrak; grandchildren Dylan, Naja, Cooper, Paxton, Collin, & Maddix; brother Louie (Kathy) Devus.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 13, from 5-7 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where a Parastas will take place at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, AKRON)
