Ola Mae Dieringer

March 4, 1924 — August 20, 2015

Ola Mae Dieringer Ola Mae Dieringer, 91, went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2015. Born in Bath County, KY March 4, 1924 to Clark & Moss Vance, Ola was an Akron area resident for over 66 years. She was a graduate of Kentucky Christian College, where she met her husband Bill. She worked in the cafeteria at Roswell Kent Middle School for over 25 years. She was a faithful charter member of the Coventry Crossing Church of Christ, where she served as a deaconess, sang in the choir and served as a Sunday school teacher. Ola enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking. She was known for her green beans, banana nut bread, and pot roast. Most of all, she was a loving and devoted wife and mother, who always said evening prayers and a devotion with her children at bedtime. Ola was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years William Dieringer (Brother Bill); grandson Jason Dieringer, as well as 7 siblings. She is survived by her children Beverly (Ronald) Ocasek, William (Toni) Dieringer, & Jamie Dieringer; grandchildren Kirstin (Nate) Chassman, Kyle (Sarah) Ocasek, & Jeremy (Shannon) Dieringer; great-grandchildren Indy, Kelten, Ailish, & Daisy Ocasek; sisters Inez Otis & Betty Belcher. The family will receive friends TODAY, 6-8 pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home KUCKO-ANTHONY-KERTESZ CHAPEL, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron and again on Saturday, 10am to 12pm at the funeral home, where a funeral service will follow immediately at 12 pm. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
