Odalis (Rodriguez) Rodriguez

Odalis Rodriguez, 20, went to be with Lord on August 30, 2022.

Of a cheerful and mischievous spirit, she liked to play with children & adults, and was always joking around. She was a loving person and her great character & perseverance helped her overcome many of the difficulties imposed by her illness. Despite her physical limitations, she was able to achieve the independence she longed for to carryout her daily activities.

She graduated from North High School in Akron in 2022.

She is survived by her mother, Hortencia, and siblings, Jhaziel, Wendy, Maryan, Erik, and Angel who are grateful for the years God gifted them with her life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who love her.

They would like to thank her teachers from North High School, the medical staff from the Cleveland Clinic & Akron Children's Hospital, those who were always willing to take her to medical appointments, those who helped her, and all her brothers and sisters in Christ.

Odalis' departure leaves a great sadness in our hearts, but at the same time a joyful hope for eternal life.

The funeral and Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 44 University Ave, Akron, OH 44308 where the family welcomes those who want to express their condolences beginning at 9 am. The burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.



Odalis Rodriguez, 20, partió a la casa del Padre el 30 de agosto del 2022.

De espíritu alegre y travieso, le gustaba jugar con niños y adultos y siempre estaba haciendo bromas, era una persona amorosa y su gran carácter y perseverancia la ayudó a superar muchas de las dificultades que su enfermedad le ponía y dentro de sus limitaciones físicas logro tener la independencia que ella anhelaba para hacer sus cosas en la vida diaria.

Se graduó en North High School, en Akron, en el 2022

Su mamá, Hortencia, sus hermanos, Jhaziel, Wendy, Maryan, Erik y Angel y todas las personas que la aman siempre la tendrán presente con sus ejemplos y están agradecidos con estos años que Dios les regaló con su presencia

Agradecen a sus maestros de North High School, a sus médicos y terapistas de Cleveland Clinic y Akron Children's Hospital, a las personas siempre dispuestas a llevarla a sus citas médicas, a quienes siempre la ayudaron y a sus hermanos en Cristo.

La partida de Odalis deja una gran tristeza en el corazón, pero a la vez un gran gozo de esperanza en la vida eterna.

El funeral y misa se celebrarán el miércoles, 7 de setiembre del 2022 a las 10:00 am en la iglesia de san Bernardo, 44 University Ave, Akron, OH 44308. Donde la familia recibirá a quienes quieran presenter sus condolencias desde las 9 am. El sepelio será en el cementerio Holy Cross.
