Odai Xaybandith

We'd like to share the passing of Odai "Lat" Xaybandith, 44, on July 13, 2022. Lat was born on July 4, 1978 in Laos. He was raised in Kent, OH where he graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1997. Since then, Lat has resided in Columbus, OH.

Lat was an avid Ohio State fan and always loved spending time playing all sports, especially golf and fishing. Lat's friends and family would agree that he was always the 'life of the party' and enjoyed having a good time. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Lat was preceded in death by grandparents and beloved nephew, Justin Khamvongsouk. He leaves to cherish his memory: his parents, Phouvong and Souvanthong Xaybandith; brother, Souvansai "Jack" (Joy) Xaybandith; sister, Somsamai "Sam" (Mike) Xaybandith Yaskowiak; and nieces, Aliciya and Jocelyn Yaskowiak. Amongst other aunts and uncles, Pung "Teh" Ratanaboud, Tou and Temta Khamvongsouk; nephew, Jordan Khamvongsouk; ex-wife and friend, Tammy Pham; and many other loving family members and friends.

Viewing hours will be Friday, July 22nd from 4-6 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel 1990 South Main Street, Akron, OH 44301. The traditional funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 23rd at 2 p.m.
