Norman Edward Jones

Norman E. Jones, 95, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 4, 2023 at The Village of St. Edward - Green.

A lifelong resident of the Akron area, Norm was born September 17, 1927 to Omar and Emma (Graham) Jones. He was a graduate of South High School (1948), and worked at Hygienic Corporation for over 40 years, retiring in 1988. He was a faithful and dedicated member of Cornerstone Church.

Norm was preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 73 years, Ernestine (Bailey) Jones; sons David, Mark and Norman Jones II; grandson Mark Jones. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Kathleen Jones; 8 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Calling Hours and Funeral Services will be held at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads, entrance off Steese Road). The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM, with Funeral service on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 11:00 AM, Pastor Brenda Young officiating. Interment at St. Jacob Cemetery in Lake Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cornerstone Church.
