Noreen Mary Mcvay

Noreen Mary McVay, 76, passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at Pebblecreek Care Center.
Noreen was born December 24, 1945, to Horace and Rose (Romeo) McVay in Akron and had been an area resident her entire life. She had been employed by the University of Akron in the Bookstore. She was a faithful member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
Noreen is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Mary and John Menches; nieces Melissa (Jim) Clapper, Valerie (Brian) Caster, and Natalie (Kevin) Roarty; grand nieces and nephews Rachel Kohring, Samantha Clapper, Brandon Caster, Kate Caster, and Sean and Connor Roarty; great grand nephew Gideon Kohring. She was a dear friend and special companion to Patrick Angerstein
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 9, 2022, at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 4019 Manchester Rd., Akron OH 44319, where the family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of the Mass. Inurnment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Francis de Sales Church.
