It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Nathaniel (Jab) Trent, who left us peacefully on March 22, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on January 8, 1941, in Wharncliffe, West Virginia to the late Ance Trent and Pearl Lester ( Johnson ). Nathaniel lived a life marked by hard work and dedication. He spent many years as a mill operator at Worthington Industries in Columbus Ohio, always taking pride in his craft. Nathaniel was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved spending his time outdoors with family and friends.
Nathaniel is survived by his former spouse Wilma Eversole and their son, Steven (Cheryl) Trent, grandsons Ezra Trent and Ian Trent, sisters Nadine (Charles) Mangus, Phoebe (Doug) Spence, as well as many nieces and nephews. Nathaniel has found eternal peace alongside his siblings Bertha (Lawrence) Lester, Madison Trent, Dortha (Jennings) Mangus, Thomas Ray (Alma) Trent, Kenneth Glen Lester, Ralph Lester and Denny Clark Lester. Nathaniel's warmth and kind spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
Nathaniel had chosen cremation. At this time, the family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Nathaniel's memory at Panther State Forest, 239 Ostenaco Road, Panther, WV 24872 on June 7th, 2025 from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Georges Fork picnic shelter for a celebration of Nathaniel's life.
In this difficult time, let us remember Nathaniel for his unwavering spirit and the love he shared with us all. His legacy will live on in our hearts.
