Nadezda Savcic

Nadezda Savcic, 87, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2018 due to complications of a stroke.
Born in Belgrade, Serbia on April 7, 1931, Nadezda came to the United States in 1976. Her first job was at Belgrade Gardens in Barberton where she worked as a cook for over 20 years. She was a longtime member of the former Sts. Peter & Paul Serbian Orthodox Church in Norton. She made the best homemade donuts (Krofne), poppyseed strudel, & apple pita. She loved gardening, especially tending to her roses.
Nadezda was preceded in death by her husband Radomir in 1998. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Milan (Becky) of Green and daughter and son-in-law Radmila (Mita) of Belgrade, Serbia; grandchildren Marijana (Casey) Sullivan, Sandra (Jason) Morgan, Marko (Amanda) Savcic, Sladjana & Djordje Topalovski; great-grandchildren Noah, Owen, & Elena, as well as many nieces, nephews, & cousins both her in the US and in Serbia.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, 1pm, at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron, where the family will receive friends starting at 11 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Lakewood Cemetery in Akron. (Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, AKRON)
