Montlane Monte May

Montlane 'Monte' May, 94, went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2024 in Canal Fulton, OH.
Monte was born on April 23, 1930 in Wellston, OH to the late Monterville and Florence May and was a graduate of Garfield High School in Akron. He went to Bible College at North Central University in Minnesota. He started his ministry in Kenton, OH and then spent the next 50 years as Pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Monroeville, OH.
In addition to his parents, Monte was preceded in death by sister Cheryl and brothers Paul, Earl, & Bruce. He is survived by his sister Polly Stump and his brother Forrest (Marie) May, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
A Celebration of Monte's Life will take place on Thursday, May 2, at 12 pm, with friends being received for one hour prior, at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron. Monte will be laid to rest at Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Monroeville.
