Mitchell George Hershberger

On the 6th of November, 2023, Mitchell Hershberger of East Canton, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 68 years old.
Mitchell was born to Elmer and Becky Hershberger in 1955. His lifelong dedication to Public Service never wavered, retiring from East Canton Police Department in January of 2022. Mitchell loved spending time with and watching his grandkids sporting events always giving pointers to improve. He was a friend to many, always lending a hand to anyone needing help.
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and gratitude to Advantage Hospice for all the care and kindness extended to Mitch and Mary in Mitch's final days.
As well as Ron and Diane Braucher for going above and beyond to support Mitch during and following his employment at RBS Truck and Trailer Services.
Mitchell is preceded in death by his father, Elmer and his mother, Becky. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, his son Erick Browning (Nicole), his grandkids, Joseph Browing (Ashley), Aiden, Brody, Cohen, Paxton Browning, Ty and Ian Galloway, his sister, Nadine Clar (Arvin), and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 14 at 6 pm, friends will be received from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. in Akron.
