Michael Patrick Vegh

Michael P Vegh Jr., 84, passed away peacefully Friday,January 14, 2022 after a long, courageous battle. Michael was born in Akron, Ohio on June 28, 1937 to Michael P Vegh Sr. and Helen Vegh(Gaydash). Michael was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber, retiring after 42 years of service.

Michael is survived by Clara(Lamonica), his wife of 64 years. Children Michele (Bill) Jones, Denise (Ron) Tokie, Rick (Renee), Dana (Glenn) Bostic and Michael (Renee). Grandchildren Billy (Chelsea) Jones, Toni Tokie, Anna Tokie, Hannah (Donald) Vegh-Lobdell and Lauren Vegh. Great grandchild Maverick.

Michael was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Michael was such a hardworking, compassionate man and was a great role model to all his family and friends. Michael had a great passion for muscle cars and car shows, bowling, traveling with his wife Clara and spending time with his family.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 10:30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1034 Brown St., Akron, Ohio 44301. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 10:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Regency Care of Copley, 2631 Copley Rd., Copley, Ohio 44321.
