Michael J. Turby

Michael J. Turby, age 84, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026.

Mike was born on July 1, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Arthur J. Turby and Genevieve H. Turby. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sharon A. Turby.

Mike proudly served in the Army National Guard and was a hardworking man throughout his life. He began his career at Paragon Music and later spent many years working at ACME Grocery Stores, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

He had a lifelong love of photography, enjoyed listening to jazz music, and had a special place in his heart for animals. Mike generously supported organizations including the ASPCA and the Humane Society. He will be remembered as a kind, friendly man who treated everyone he met with warmth and respect.

Mike is survived by his sister, Amy K. Turby, as well as his dear friends Wesley and Mackenzie Brechbiel and their children, Zoey, Piper, and Maeve, who were like family to him.

In accordance with Mike's wishes, cremation has taken place, and no public services will be held.

Mike's kindness, quiet generosity, and enduring friendships will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
