Michael Stephen Nyeste

Michael S. Nyeste 78, passed away on Tuesday September 30, 2025. Mike was born on March 22, 1947, to Mathias and Elizabeth (Sleighter) Nyeste in Akron and was an area resident his entire life. He graduated from Hoban High School in 1965 and later married Margaret (Maggie) Zimbardi. They were married for 55 years.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Maggie; children Damian (Meredith) Nyeste, Matthew (Elizabeth) Nyeste and Gina (Ray) Larocca; grandchildren, Semise, Victoria, Alex, Max, Mathias and Francesca; brother Mark Nyeste; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mike was a member of many Organizations including Queen of Heaven and a founding member of Green Soccer Association in 1984. Mike enjoyed golfing and boating, but above all else he enjoyed being with his family. Especially his grandchildren. He loved being around them and watching them participate in their multiple events and activities.

Mike worked at Guys' Party Center and Restaurant for over 40 years, where he was not only blessed to work with many family members, including his managing partner Rocky Zimbardi, but he was also blessed to work with so many people which became his and Maggie's family as well. He was always grateful for their endless contributions to make the business a success.

Mike was always eager to share his enthusiasm with friends and family. Mike was known for his smile, generous spirit, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. Mike's legacy will continue to inspire us to live with joy, compassion, and purpose and mostly to help people no matter how small or large the problem.

A celebration of Mike's life will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Guy's Party Center, 500 E. Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319. In lieu of flowers, please donate a tribute gift to The Parkinson's Foundation at https://.parkinson.org.
