Michael Scott Kane, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on November 21, 2024, from pancreatic cancer.
Michael was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, coach, mentor and friend. He graduated from Garfield High School in 1983 and worked some odd jobs before starting the Kane Sign Company which he ran for 35 years. He coached soccer at North High School for 10 years, leading them to their first ever City Series Championship (learn more:

). Michael was a caring and respected community advocate for North Hill. After successfully growing his business, Michael gave back to the community in many ways. He was skilled at giving life to other people's visions. Most of all, Michael had a great love of home and family. He restored an 19th century farmhouse with his wife over 25 years.
Michael is survived by his wife of 37 years Lisa; daughters Megan (Jon Riveron) and Jillian (Brody McCreary); siblings Debbie (Bill) Brent, Johnny (Lynn) Kane, and David Kane; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-7PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Anthony Funeral Homes, Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S Main St in Akron, where a service will be held at 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Siedman Cancer Center via
