Michael DiNicola, 72, passed away on December 10, 2024, at his home in the arms of his beloved wife, Peggi.
Mike was born March 21, 1952, to Ralph and Antoinette (Semise) DiNicola in Akron and has lived in the area his entire life. He graduated from Hoban High School in 1970. Mike spent his life as a mechanic, carpenter, telephone technician, and in environmental services.
Mike enjoyed gardening, hiking, woodworking, creative home projects, cooking, fishing, spending time at the beach, and watching the Browns (most recently with his brother Tom) and the Guardians (with his son Michael). His primary joys were witnessing the growth of his family, especially his grandchildren, wildly creative household projects, and spending time with his many friends.
Mike is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggi; children Michael DiNicola, Deanne DiNicola-Lutz, and Adam (Dorian) DiNicola; grandchildren Katelynn and Matthew DiNicola, Zoey, Gia, and Zach Lutz and Gwen Auld; brother Tom DiNicola; sister-in-law Pam DiNicola; and he will be missed by the entire Spak family. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph, Joe, and Guy DiNicola.
The DiNicolas will receive family and friends on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1800 Steese Rd, Uniontown, OH 44685. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, followed by a celebration of life (reception). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Summit Metro Parks Foundation.
