Michael Anthony Morris

Norton - Michael A. Morris, 79, passed away January 22, 2024, after a brief illness.
Michael was born August 16, 1944, to Ray and Dorothy (Floreani) Morris in Akron and had been an area resident his entire life. He was a 1963 graduate of St. Mary High School where he played football achieving All City, All County, and All State honors. He received a football scholarship to the University of Akron. He served as a football referee and was past president of Summit Portage Football Officials Association.
Mike was a Concrete and Cement Mason with his grandfather at Henry Floreani Concrete. He was a member of the Cement Masons Union Local 109 and finished his career with Alessio Concrete.
Mike was a Fourth-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus (K of C) Joseph Bender Assembly and served as Grand Knight of K of C Council 3410. He enjoyed gardening and loved golfing with his many friends in several leagues.
Mike leaves his beloved wife of 52 years, Janet (Ostroski); daughter Nancy (Justin) Visca; brother David (Rosa) Morris; brother-in-law Ronald (Sharon) Ostroski; many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 1 to 3 pm at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1263 Shannon Ave., Norton OH 44203 where a Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be celebrated at 3:00pm. A reception will follow at the church hall. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prince of Peace.
