Mecys Palunas

Mecys 'Mike' Palunas, 94, died on September 13, 2016.
Born in Lithuania on April 28, 1922, Mecys came to the US in 1949. He was employed by Babcock & Wilcox for 32 years, retiring in 1987. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls and formerly of St. Francis de Sales Parish.
Mecys was preceded in death by his daughter Christine Palunas and brothers Vladas and Viktoras. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Jadvyga; his children Victor (Janine), Indre (David) Koch, and Vita (David) Hoedt; grandsons Viktor (Sarah), Eric, Justin (Beth), Mathew, Michael, and Stephen; great-grandchildren Ryan, Henry, and Hayden.
A Mass of Christian Burial has taken place at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish and interment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery. (Anthony Funeral Homes, FALLS, 330.928.1313, anthonyfh.com)
