Matthew Ray Finocchio

Matthew Ray Finocchio, 23, passed away suddenly on February 18 after a long struggle chronic illness. Born in Akron on March 2, 1993 to Joseph Finocchio and Susan Ray, Matt was a 2011 graduate of St. V-M High School and went on to attend Notre Dame College, where he was working toward a degree in Psychology. Preceded in death by his cousin Leah, Matthew leaves behind the light of his life, daughter Annalise; parents Susan Ray and Joseph Finocchio; twin sister Sarah; fiancee Brittany Olson; grandparents James & Judy Ray & Joseph F. Finocchio; aunts & uncles Carol Ray & Tom Piteo, Mary Ray & Alan Houser, Christine & Mark Toscano, Faith & Mark Mrofchak, Dale & Tammy Finocchio, & Mark Finocchio; cousins Michael & Elena Piteo, Sam & James Houser, Josh & Sophie Toscano, Nicole, Ryan, & Mariah Mrofchak, & Sam & Alex Finocchio. The family will receive friends on Thursday, 4-8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home MCGOWAN-REID & SANTOS CHAPEL, 247 Stow Ave. (at Third St., one block north of Portage Trail) in Cuyahoga Falls.
