Mary Ann (Pamer) Wages

Mary Ann Wages (Pamer), 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 04, 2025.
An Akron native (of the Kenmore area) was born on January 22, 1942. Mary Ann graduated from Kenmore High School the Class of 1960. She worked at Ohio Bell and for J.A Mirman. She was married to Pete Wages for over 60 years. She was the loving mother of Mark and Jon. She was a classroom mother for both of her sons, as well as "The First Aid Lady" for all her sons' pee-wee sports. Mrs. Wages was an active member of Mt. Zwingli Church of Christ for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling with Pete throughout the USA, Europe, and the Caribbean. She was a member of a camping club along with her family; they started their camping adventures in a pop-up camper that grew to a 5th wheel camper visiting many locations through the United States. Mary Ann loved all animals, domestic and wild. She would feed the stray and wild animals in good weather and bad. She had many pets over the years, and some strays became beloved companions. She was a very thoughtful, kind, and frugal person, always sharing her amazing treasures and finds with others. She was loved by all that had the pleasure to have known her.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband Pete Wages, and sons Mark (Kelly) and Jon (Amy). Beloved Grandmother of Sarah, Matthew and Connor. Preceded in death by parents Fred and Anna (Kubik) Pamer and sister Jacqueline Czartoszewski.
Calling hours will be Sunday, March 9 from 2 to 4PM at Anthony Funeral Home1990 South Main Street Akron, Ohio 44301, and on Monday March 10 from 10-11AM. A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00AM, Pastor John Lawrence officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations can be made to your favorite charity or to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Rd. Twinsburg, Ohio 44087-6823 which Mary Ann supported for years.
