Mary Louise Tomei

Louise has moved on to be with other loved ones after a short illness on March 5th.
She was born in Akron, Ohio on August 16, 1930 to Ludovico and Mary Parish Bonifacio. She was a graduate of Central High School and a lifetime resident of Akron. Louise married her war time hero Freddy in 1949 and raised four children the traditional Italian way. She will always be remembered for her love of family, religion and cooking. Her homemade pasta and baked goods are legendary and there was always a perpetual supply of pizzelles in the cupboard.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother; brothers, Frank and Steve; nephews, Stephen and Frank, Jr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe and Lena, John and Katie, Victor and Daisy and sister-in-law, Angie Colella. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Freddy; brother, Joe (Alice) Bonifacio; sister, Lucy (Erwin) Brauchler; brother-in-law, Armando Colella; children, Fred (Jayne), David (Jody), Dante (Pattey) and Gina (Tom) Myers; aunt, Marge Codian; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to St. Edward's Retirement Village and Nursing and the Palliative Care Unit at City Hospital for their attentive and compassionate care for our mom.
Funeral service prayers will be held Friday, 9:30 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Akron. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
