Mary Katherine Takacs

Mary Katherine (Ladich) Takacs, 102, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
She was born in Akron and was a lifetime resident of the area. Mrs. Takacs was a registered nurse for Summa Akron City Hospital for 47 years working in the nursery and neonatal unit retiring in 1981. She was a member of Advent Lutheran Church in Uniontown and enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was also active with the Marlboro Senior Citizens Group.
She was preceded in death by parents, Paul and Elizabeth (Baker) Ladich; husband, Joseph Takacs; son-in-law, James Franklin; brothers, Steven, Paul and Michael Ladich; and sister, Elizabeth Cesnak. She is survived by daughters, Mary Theresa Franklin and Barbara J. Takacs; son, Joseph A. (Ann) Takacs; grandchildren, Margo (Michael) Cotopolis, Kristin (Josh) Robinson and Joseph Paul (Ben Bisbee) Takacs; great-grandchildren, Holden, Hunter and Dominic Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron.
