Together again
Mary Stupak, 96, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2025. Born on September 30, 1928, in Barberton, She was the beloved daughter of John and Caroline Reis of Copley.
Mary worked for many years before retiring from Coastal Tank Lines. She and her late husband, Ernie, shared a deep love for dancing, especially the polka, waltz, and jitterbug, often seen enjoying music at festivals and family events.
A talented cook and baker, Mary took pride in preparing delicious meals and pastries. She enjoyed theater, ice skating shows, and special outings with her daughters, especially during the holidays. She also loved spending time with family over card games and laughter.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, just three weeks before her passing, and by her grandson, Kevin Conley. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn (Rob) Conley of Akron and Marlene (Jim) Goist of Little Elm, Texas; grandchildren Bob (Sarah) Conley, Jeremy (John) Utley, Jessica Stegeman, and Ashley Goist; great-grandchildren Emma and Olivia Stegeman; and many nieces and nephews.
The Stupak, Conley, and Goist families are grateful for the love and support shown during this time. Mary will be remembered for her joyful spirit, kindness, and love of dance.
A memorial will be held on Saturday, July 12, at 10:00 a.m, at 605 West Hill Baptist Church, N Revere Rd, Akron, OH 44333. Donation can be made in Mary's memory to Westhill Baptist Church, or a charity of your choice.
