Mary E. Pete, 98, of Akron passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2021. Born in Akron to the late Mato and Ana Franjesevic, she was formerly a member of Christ the King Parish. During World War II she worked as a Rosie the Riveter. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother she will be sadly missed by those who loved her. In 2001 she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis A. Pete, Sr. Her survivors include daughter, Mary Lou (Richard) Munn; son, Lewis, Jr. (Becky); grandchildren, Kimberly (Lance) Hershman, Kristopher (Stephanie) Pete, Theresa Munn, and Zack Munn; great-grandchildren, Kirstin Lengel, Aubrey Lengel, Helena Pete, Olivia Pete,Tyler Norman, and Amber Norman. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 15th at 1:00 p.m. at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.) where friends may call two hours prior to service time, Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
