Mary Pat Myers

Mary Pat Myers (Bedell), 69, of Stow, passed away on September 23, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by the family she loved.

Mary Pat was born on October 22, 1956, to Leo and Mary Jo Bedell, one of ten children. She attended Holy Family Elementary School, started high school at St. Mary and graduated from Hoban High School, then went on to graduate from the Akron General School of Nursing. Mary Pat married Bill Myers in 1987 and fully lived out her vocation as wife and mother by providing a loving home for her husband and three children. Mary Pat was a lifelong, devout, and active parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow. Her friendship with the Blessed Mother inspired her work to bring Christ's love to others. She humbly served as a sacristan, taught PSR, Eucharistic Minister, and sat on the parish finance committee. She also served on the Catholic Charities Women's Board. Beyond her service to the Church, Mary Pat generously shared her nursing skills throughout the years, caring for family members, working as a school nurse, and volunteering at Children's Hospital.

Her favorite times in life were when she was surrounded by family. Growing up, she enjoyed summers with her siblings at their cabin in Canada and later looked forward to yearly beach vacations with her own family. Her days with her seven grandchildren were some of the best, where she would share her love for gardening, baking, and crocheting. Her love and care permeated everything she did, making it known to all around her.

Mary Pat is survived by her husband of 39 years, Bill; her children, Billy (Grace), Mary (Drew), and Tom; her seven "sweeties"; her siblings, Mike (Pat), Dave (Chris), Rich (Kathy), Terry (Alice), Leo (Bev), Jack (Mary Beth), Jeanne (Jacques) and Ann (David); and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Mary Jo Bedell and her brother, Robert Thomas.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Anthony & Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home, 3333 Kent Road, Stow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 29, at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Church in Stow, with burial to follow at Silver Springs Cemetery. All are welcome to join the family afterward for a reception in the lower church hall at Holy Family.
