Mary Louise (Gardner) Novitsky

Mary Lou Novitsky, hatched May 14, 1934 to Justin and (Anna) R. (Colopy) Gardner, matched April 21, 1956 to Richard S. Novitsky at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and, dispatched at her home in Kenmore October 28, 2022.
Mary Lou was a 1952 graduate of St. Mary High School. She was employed for five years at Firestone Tire and Rubber Co, three years for Atty. Frances Spicer (1978-1982) and Summit County Probate Court as an Adoption Clerk (1983-1995) for Referees Mary Spicer and Maureen O'Connor.
She was a lifelong and faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society, Parish Council (Secretary), the Christ Child Society and was active with the IC Parent Teacher Group.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Kathryn Semelsberger, Marie Gardner, Anne Smylie and Gertrude Flechler and brothers Gerald and Robert. She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard; sons Thomas (Laurie), Richard G. (Kathy) and Stephen; daughters Marianne Spiros and Suzanne (John) Nicholas; brother James (Janet) Gardner; grandchildren Gabrielle (Michael) Redovian, Cameren (Kaitlin) Spiros, Evan (Jordan) Nicholas, Aaron Nicholas, Aubree (Tyler) Wright and Katie Ann Novitsky; great grandchildren Gavin and Adalynn Redovian, and a number of step-grandchildren.
Mary Lou Loved her family fiercely, told it as it was, and expected the same.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2101 2010 16th St. SW, Akron OH 44314. It will be followed by a memorial luncheon at the Anthony Funeral Home Community Room, 1990 S. Main St. Akron OH 44301 and burial at 2:30 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Ritman. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 5 to 8 pm at the Anthony Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to Immaculate Conception Church.
