Mary E. Lamb, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 9, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Mary was born in Akron on March 30, 1933 to the late William and Laura Lemmon and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated Ellet High School in 1951, where she was a cheerleader and voted "Best Personality". She married her high school sweetheart, Victor Lamb, and went on to raise five children. She enjoyed her card club and working out at Curves for many years. Mary was a member of the Lions Club in Green and she attended the Hartville Church of Christ, where she was active in the bible study. She was a talented and accomplished seamstress and worked as a full charge bookkeeper for many different companies. Mostly, she enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Victor; and her five siblings. She is survived by her children Vicki (John) Parisi, Heidi Lamb-Kovach, Allan Lamb, Eric (Catherine) Lamb, and Edward Lamb; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; and a very large extended family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 13 from 10AM to 12Noon at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Road (corner of Massillon & Steese Roads, entrance off Steese), with a funeral service at 12Noon, Pastor Craig Ressler officiating. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (
