Mary Kathryn Knoderer, age 89, passed away peacefully on October 19. Mary was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up on a farm in Pickerington, Ohio. Mary was a 1957 graduate of Capital University where she obtained the credential of Registered Nurse (RN). At Capital University, she did an internship in a polio ward. She was employed by the Lancaster-Fairfield Hospital where she became the head nurse.

Mary married the late Dr. Paul A Knoderer. D.D.S. in 1960 and in 1961, they moved to the greater Akron, Ohio area (Suffield). Mary worked for many years in Paul's dental practice. She also worked at Children's Hospital in the ER, Little Forest Nursing Home, and she retired from Edwin Shaw Rehabilitation Hospital.

Mary's interests included cooking and gardening.

In addition to her husband of 44 years Mary is preceded in death by parents, Harold & Lucille Poth, sister Kerene Hennerfeind, and brother Ted Poth. She is survived by her 3 children: Gretchen (Bill) Logan, Rachel (Walter) Klatt, Kurt (Lori Briggs) Knoderer; 6 grandchildren: Brandon, Matthew, Kara, Breanna, Joshua, Benjamin and sister Jane McElhatton.

The family will receieve friends Sat Oct 26th from 10:00 to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will begin at Noon officiated by Pastor Steve Jenkins. Burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetery
