Mary Karadin passed away Wednesday February 6, 2013 at the age of 96.
She was retired from B.F. Goodrich where she had worked in data processing. She was formerly a volunteer at the Society of the Blind where she taught knitting. She was also a founding member of the Columbian Guild of the Northeast Council 3529 Knights of Columbus. Mary was preceded in death by husband Joseph, parents Dimitri and Anna (Puzakulics) Beskitt, brothers Daniel, Andrew, William, and Michael, and sister Ann Nauer. She is survived by son Laurence (Judy) and Daughter Yvonne (John) Hoffman; brother Eugene (Maureen) Beskitt and sister Julia Archer. Mary's ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren will miss their "Grandma Mimi" and her many nieces and nephews will miss "Aunt Mimi."
Visiting hours will be held Friday from 5 to 8 PM at Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 South Main ST, Akron where a Panahida, officiated by Bishop John Michael Botean, will be held at 7:30 Pm . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church 300 E. Tallmadge Ave., Akron 44310. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery. Thanks to Julie Maldonado and the nurses of Vitas Hospice Care, and the nurses of Perkins at Concordia at Sumner. Donations may be made to Blessed Trinity Church.
