Mary Gattis, 75, went home to be with the Lord on May 2, 2023 while residing at Windsong Nursing Home. Although born in Durham, North Carolina, Mary lived most of her life in the Akron area.

She was a graduate of Central Hower High School. She was a devout Christian and for many years attended Ernest Angely's Grace Cathedral. She even worked in the ministry's administrative offices.

Calling hours will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday, May 8 at the Dunn-Quigley Funeral Home (811 Grant St.) where a funeral service will take place at 2:00pm..
