Mary Ann (Likevich) Franz

Mary A. Franz, 101, entered into eternal life, surrounded by family, on Friday, January 6, 2023.
Mary was born in Akron on July 15, 1921, to the late Steve & Vilma Likevich. She was a 1939 graduate of South High School. Mary was a longtime faithful parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Guild and the funeral choir. She was an avid tennis player, still playing in her 80's. Mary enjoyed dancing at the Croatian Club with the Akron-Barberton Kolo Players.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in 1970; son-in-law George Pribonic and brothers Steve & Joe Likevich. She is survived by her seven children Joann, Jim, & Tom (Chris) Franz, Mickey (Tom) Maxwell, Karen Pribonic, Marlene (John) Zibritosky, &Nancy (Ron) Braden; 8 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren (who lovingly called her Tutu) and numerous nieces & nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 11, at 11:00 am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church 4009 Manchester Rd., where the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the Mass.
