Mary Christoff, 90 fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, December 15, 2017. She was born in Kneja, Bulgaria and was a member of St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church. She was a generous person and very active in her church. Her passions were cooking, baking and history. Working alongside her husband, the Very Rev. Fr. Christo B. Christoff who preceded her in death, she helped Bulgarian immigrants assimilate. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Vasil and Milka Boykoff; brothers, Carl and Vladimir Boykoff; and sisters, Tena Pugnetti and Stanka Ilieva. She is survived by her daughters, Emily Christoff, Cynthia (Chris) Bamford and Christine (Rick) Seeling; grandchildren, Joseph Jeffers and Minjing Bamford; and great-grandson, Hunter Jeffers. Funeral service will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church, 555 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333 where Mary will lie in state one hour prior to service. Rev. Fr. Vlado Bakurdzhiev officiating. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, 2 to 5 p.m. at the Anthony Funeral Home Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Chapel, 1990 S. Main St. Akron, Ohio 44301 where a Panahida service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Donations may be made to St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church. (Anthony, Akron, 330-724-1281)
