Mary Brown, 90, passed away from this life peacefully to be with our Lord on April 27, 2015. Mary was born on April 28, 1924 in Hibbing, Minnesota. Mary married John W. Brown, also a native of Hibbing upon his return from combat in Europe. Mary and John W. Brown were to have 63 years of marriage before he passed in 2012. Mary was also preceded in death by her youngest son, John P. Brown, and her only grandson, Max K. Brown in 1996.
Mary is survived by one sister, Kaye Fena; her four oldest sons, Dennis K. Brown (Norma), Warren J. Brown (Sherry), Kevin E. Brown, and Gary A. Brown in addition to granddaughters, Lauren Brown, and Megan Brown as well as their extended families.
Mary was the consummate wife, mother, and grandmother, and she forged the spiritual and moral center of the entire Brown Family with her kindness and love. She never wanted anything for herself.
Mary was devoted to her Catholic Faith, and despite the rigors of raising five sons, Mary found time to work for Holy Family Parish since 1959, be that ironing the late Fr. Archibald's Mass vestments to later years when she helped others serving Parish Funeral Ministries and cooking meals for grieving families. Mary attended Mass almost daily as part of her commitment to faith and family until she was no longer able. Mary never lost her Faith, Hope, and Love.
The entire Brown Family wishes to acknowledge the superb healthcare that Mary enjoyed during her thirteen years of both assisted living and nursing care at The Briarwood in Stow.
Mary also thanks Holy Family Parish ministries for the Rosary, Masses, and Eucharistic Ministers who constantly availed themselves to bring Prayers, and Sacraments she held so important.
Mary's life will be celebrated at a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church on Saturday, May 2nd at 10:00 a.m. where friends may call one hour prior.
