Mary Louise Battig

Mary Louise (Marylou) Battig, 90, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at the VNS Hospice Care Center.
Marylou was born September 16, 1927 in Battle Creek, MI to Alfred and Wilma (Bennet) Smith and had been a resident of Estero, FL until coming to live with her children 9 months ago. She was an avid bridge player and explained everything with, 'you know what I mean?'
Marylou is survived by her children Barbara (Blasé) Iuliano and Michael (Lynn) Battig; grandchildren Joanna Van Eck, Julie Piecuch and Nicole Stern Stapleton; great grandchildren Brett Schmidt, Tyler Van Eck, Jake and Page Piecuch and Lily and Nicholas Stapleton; great great grandchildren Avery and Riley Schmidt.
The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10:15 to 11:15 am at the Anthony Funeral Home of Green, 4178 Massillon Rd., Uniontown OH 44685 (corner of Massillon and Steese Roads in Green, entrance off Steese Rd.) where a brief service will be held at 11:15 am. Interment immediately following at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
