Mary Ann Taray, 88, of Green, died February 5th, 2025 at home surrounded by the comfort and love of her family.
She was born on October 5th, 1936 in Akron to Joseph and Helen Tigelman. She was a retiree of the Akron Beacon Journal. She was a member of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and previously St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
Most of all, Mary Ann loved spending time with her family and her friends. As a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, many of her most joyful moments came from being in the company of her loved ones. She enjoyed playing euchre with her friends, cooking delicious meals for everyone, and singing and dancing to polka music, Dean Martin, and John Denver. Mary Ann traveled to many wonderful places, but Ireland, the Outer Banks, and Disney World were her favorites. She was never short on good advice, including always knowing where to get the best margarita. Her kindness, generosity, and positivity in life brightened the lives of everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her daughters, Jeannine (Tim) Titus, Janice Southerland, Kathleen Taray, Julie (James) Barlow; grandchildren, Daniel (Katie), Shawn, Shannon (Trevor), Valerie, Marie; four great-grand children; brother Bob (Colleen) Tigelman; as well as sisters-in-law Sara and Marlene.
Thank you to Traditions Hospice and Cornerstone Caregiving.
